We just got back from the Dentist. Emmett ended up having to have a root canal and a metal cap installed today. He did so well and I couldn’t be any prouder.
He has two more trips in order to take care of two more teeth and that will be mid-August.
We did figure out what’s happening to his teeth. The teeth in question are the same pairs on both sides of his mouth. By same pair I mean the tooth on the bottom that matches with the tooth on the top.
This matches up exactly with where he uses his teeth to over his sippy that holds water for him to drink. He’s basically chipped or damaged them, which led to the cavities.
If I had been on top of this and gotten him in a long time ago, we could have caught this sooner. Unfortunately, I didn’t and this was the result. I feel absolutely horrible about this but all I can do is better.
