Gavin had his IVIG infusion this morning and here’s how it went

Gavin had a really good IVIG infusion this morning.  He’s gaining a little bit of weight so there’s more body fat on his tummy to make needle placement less painful.

I think this particular infusion clocked in at roughly an hour.

He only had to run to the bathroom a couple of times and spent the time he wasn’t in the bathroom, playing Halo 5. Gavin’s beaten that game quite a few times but apparently it never gets old.  ☺

At the moment, he’s sleeping everything off and will probably be out for a few more hours.  This is pretty much the status quo for any infusion.

Today’s infusion is a good example of a really successful one because he’s not having side effects, it went really quick and was relatively painless. Considering there’s no way around this procedure, I’m quite happy with today’s outcome.
