Lizze and I have been noticing that Elliott has been spelling his own name wrong. I'm not quite sure what to make of this.  We've had our concerns about dyslexia in the past because he was writing his letters backwards. He doesn't realize that he's doing this and gets upset if we ask him about it. Maybe he's just working too fast?  I'm not really sure. This is one of those things that we'll keep an eye on and stay in touch with his teacher before we really worry too much about it.  Any of your kids all of a sudden begin spelling their own name wrong? As the day goes on, I'm feeling worse and worse.  My throat hurts and I can't stop sneezing to save my life. I'm not sure what it is is that I'm coming down with but all signs point to the Man Cold. What's a Man Cold? A Man Cold is what my wife calls it when I get sick with something that most Mom's would simply work through. Man Cold is a pretty common term used to describe when a man gets sick and goes down with something a woman would be expected to work through.  Make sense? I never knew that becoming a father required me to turn into a human jungle gym. All day long today, Emmett has been using me as a jungle gym. He keeps climbing all over me and using his elbows to do it.  Holy crap are his elbows sharp and bony. I love Emmett,  I really, really do.  However,  I could do with him finding something else to climb on.  This is the down side to Emmett losing OT and PT. I wanted to share with you some really cool news in the pay it forward category. I'm trying to have a positive impact on the world, even if it's one person at a time. It's important to me that even though we don't have much of our own, that we still find a way to pay it forward. Yesterday I was able to do just that, with the help of Idolian.com. Last night was Math and Literacy Night at Summit Academy, where my kids go to school. During these events the PTA usually has a raffle in order to raise money to help support school functions, provide things for the classrooms and help cover future events like Math and Literacy Night. Emmett had a very, very long day yesterday. We spent most of our day in Cleveland and a good chunk of the day in the car.  He never once complained and was a little angel. I'm so proud of how well he did and so glad he had fun. We just arrived home from the Cleveland Clinic and are getting ready to go somewhere else soon.  I'll make this short and sweet.  There is some suspicion that Lizze may actuslly have Celiac disease. I had actually forgotten about this but Lizze reminded me today.  Lizze has always tested positive for Celiac via the blood test but when she was scoped the biopsies came back negative.  They always said that it really looked like the biopsies would be positive but they weren't. Her new doctor is going to review her records as soon as they arrive and decide where to go from there. We are at the Strongsville branch of the Cleveland Clinic to see Lizze's new Gastrointerologist.  Her current gastrointerologist retired and so it made sense to make the move and keep everything all in one place.  The Cleveland Clinic is amazing.  We weren't in there long enough to really even sit down before they brought us back.  I mean, I have waited in line at McDonald's longer than it took her to be seen by her new doctor.  :-) Huge plus to the Cleveland Clinic for running like a friggin well oiled machine.  :-) This site is managed via WordPress for Android, courtesy of the @SamsungMobileUS Galaxy Note 2 by @Tmobile.
