Witness how sensory processing disorder impacts my son with #Autism (video)

This morning has been a disaster. We’ve been up struggling with shoes and socks since Emmett woke up.

We managed to finally get them on and we headed off to school, only to have the shoes and socks come back off while in the car.

I recorded audio of what happened when we arrived at school.
The idea behind this, is for you better understand how sensory processing disorder impacts my youngest of three with Autism

It’s so important to understand that this is very real and while it may seem appropriate to simply force him to wear his shoes and socks, I assure you that would only make things worse for him.

He wants to go to school and none of this is an attempt to stay home.  He really is in distress.
