So this is what my day will look like

The kids don’t have school today and that means less distraction for me. At the same time, that means less distraction for them as well. Unfortunately, that also means I’m going to have to run interference because they’re likely to get on each other’s nerves.

I need to accomplish a couple of things today and one of those things is getting today’s episode up on time. That means I’ll be staring at this screen for the next couple of hours.

I really enjoyed this weeks conversation and should have it ready for your ears later today.

The other thing I have to do is mulch the goddamn leaves again. It’s only like the 4th time this week. I’d say about 90% of the leaves are down and so this should be one of the last times I have to do this.

As soon as I get this done, I’ll pack up the mower for the year and probably put it in the basement for the winter.

The final thing I have to really, really focus on is getting the kids caught up on school. They’re doing well but have some work that needs finished and turned in. I had conferences yesterday and while I hadn’t planned on them, the teachers called throughout the day to discuss how Elliott was doing.

I’ve not heard from Emmett’s teachers yet but there’s time.

As I said, there is work they need to get caught up on but this quarter is better than the previous. Their teachers have assured me that everyone is struggling. None of this is going to be perfect but so long as we make it through, that’s all that matters.

I’m coming into the day already exhausted but I also feel like I’ve got this.

Hey Rob!

I’m a long-time reader but thought of you and your boys today because of Annie’s Kindness Blankets – they send a handmade blanket to anyone who asks. I thought maybe you and your boys would like some and wanted to pass along their info: annieskindnessblankets.org

Hey, I was out mowing/mulching earlier in the week. There are quite a few trees on and around my property. But I took a peek outside and I’m probably NOT going to do any more. Unless it’s in the 60s the following weekend but I’m not counting on it.

We’re all a little frayed. When I get spells of anxiety I talk EVEN MORE, which I’m sure is annoying to Bob (and maybe Henry, while Jacob is at work). There might be a vaccine but even if one comes out the end of this year, it still needs to be produced and distributed. *sigh*
