So I had someone in my Reddit support forum, uh, asked me to talk about time management as it relates to autism parenting. And I thought, well, that’s kind of a weird question at first, but then I realized it’s actually a really good question and I just don’t know how to answer it. So, uh, I’ve been putting it off, but I’m gonna, I’m going to try and help you out. I’m gonna help you out.
I’ve been at this for 22 years and I still don’t have the whole time management thing down. And I struggle with it every day. When you have kids with additional needs. Your time is more restrictive, I guess. Like there’s, there’s even less time in a day. Um, and it, and it comes down to prioritizing, right?
Like in my life, I focus on the things that I, that I like. I need to get done. That that are the most important things usually to do with my kids. And I put off for tomorrow, what can be put off, right? It tends to be sort of perpetual and there’s an ever growing list of things that I put off for tomorrow, but I really try to focus on the things that matter and be forgiving of myself that I don’t get everything done.Transcription for accessibility ☺️♥️
