Life is rough sometimes and there are few things more healing than the sound of that uncontrollable baby belly laugh. My youngest had the best belly laugh. He would crack up over the weirdest things. The laugh was infectious and would always leave me laughing so hard I was in tears. I’ve been raising autistic kids for 25 years. I’m neurodivergent myself. I’ve been through the therapies, the IEPs, the meltdowns, the wins, and everything in between. People act like services, support, and understanding should just stop when our kids turn 18. But autism doesn’t magically vanish on their birthday.
