My son is being bullied again at school

It's been a couple of months since we've had any issues with this kid that's bullying Elliott at school. I thought we were past all this crap. In fact, I even stopped asking about it because every time I asked Elliott, there wasn't a single issue. As Elliott was getting into the car today after school, I could see on his face that something was wrong. Before I could even ask what was wrong, he said don't bother asking about my day today because it was a terrible or something to that extent. 🙁 Of course I asked him anyway and he unloaded his frustration. Apparently, this same kid began taunting Elliott in class.  He was telling Elliott that he had taken something from him and it was in his pocket.…

Elliott’s not feeling well

Poor Elliott woke up in the middle of the night work a really bad headache. He was in tears when he woke me up about 1:30 am.  We went to the kitchen for some Motrin and to let him rest on the love seat while I played with his hair until he fell asleep. Lizze has chronic migraines and I wonder if it's maybe a genetic thing.  The only reason that's even on my mind is because he's been getting these lately.  Hopefully, he'll feel better when he wakes up..

I have a sick kiddo tonight

Poor Elliott is unable to sleep tonight and after he tried for almost five hours, we moved to the living room. He's complaining of a stomachache and he couldn't get comfortable, so he's chilling on the love seat in the front room.  I'm so tired but can't fall asleep until Elliott does... 😢

A long overdue update on Elliott

It's been a really long time since I've updated on how Elliott's doing, outside of the shit that was going on with the bully at school.  There's actually quite a bit to bring you up to speed on. There's lots of good news but also some struggles as well. With Elliott, things are kind of a mixed bag right now.  For starters, the bully situation seems to be completely resolved at this point and Elliott's attitude about it has changed for the better. He no longer feels like a victim and that's huge.  He's also doing better with the after school program. Both he and Emmett go on Thursday's only and that seems to be the compromise that works best. Continued on next page Lastly, as far as good news…

Great news about the school day today

We had to pick the boys up from school and then run to the other side of town because Lizze had a doctor's appointment. While Elliott's in a bad mood because he's hungry, he was able to deliver piece of really good news.  When I asked him how his day was and if there were any problems, he said good and no problems.  In other words, it sounds like he had a bully free day. I can't tell you how much I needed to hear something like this today. I'm so relieved that our efforts have produced a positive outcome, at least for now. ☺

This poor kid can’t catch a break

It's been a long day and an even longer night. Once again I'm on the couch in the living room because Elliott is not feeling good.   This poor kid just can't catch a break.  He's got a pretty nasty cough and his tummy is upset. This rendered his ability to fall asleep null. A change of environment sometimes helps the boys when they're sick.  I've got the eucalyptus oil in the difuser and it's pumping some moist into the air, next to where Elliott is currently passed out on his couch. The eucalyptus essential oils are amazing and it's one of my favorite. As for why I'm still awake, the answer is insomnia and it sucks.  The fact that Elliott is breathing better, no longer coughing and sleeping peacefully…

An update on the bullying situation

I wanted to shoot an update through the channels and let everyone know how we're doing with the bullying situation that's recently come to light.   I'm really happy to be able to say that since our meeting this week at the school, the changes made have had a very positive impact. The biggest change that has been made is the proximity of where this classroom bully now sits in regards to where Elliott sits.   A little distance seems to be really helping.   Elliott has reported that things have gotten better for him. He hasn't been assaulted by this kid for most of the last school week and that's a big change for the better.  He was getting stabbed/scratched/hit with pencils on what seemed like a regular basis.…
