Making the best out of the cards we’ve been dealt

We got off to a rough start today. Between oversleeping and a decent meltdown, I'm spent. My back is still a major issue at the moment and that makes things worse for me. Thank God for Elliott's level of cooperation this morning. He did really amazing and I couldn't be prouder. Emmett is definitely struggling today and is home from school once again. Gavin is very tunnel visioned and all he can focus on is taking a bath. That's not a bad thing per say, because he's doing this unprotected. The annoying part is when we tell him he has to wait a bit because the bathroom won't be available right away, and yet he continues to ask as though we never had that conversation a dozen times already today.…

Fit4autism: I begin my weight-loss journey

Halfway through the day, I'm doing pretty awesome. I've already reached some of my healthier living goals for today. I've already exceeded my minimum goal of 60 minutes of activity and taken in 44oz of my 64oz of daily water. I've almost reached my bare minimum step goal of 6,000 steps for the day. Hitting 10,000 shouldn't be a problem. A few minutes ago, I finished up my first of two, thirty minute sessions on the treadmill. The second one will probably occur after dinner. Food is sorta scarce right now cause I don't get paid until tomorrow, at which point I'll hit the grocery store and pick up the list of groceries Alexa has kindly helped me put together. You can find my midday stats below.

He loves school and is an extremely intelligent 7 year old. As of last school year, Emmett was moving through math so quickly that I started helping him learn more challenging math problems at home, just for run. He can do addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. In some cases, in all cases he can do so with 3 or 4 digit numbers. Even more impressively, he does this in his head. I don't know how he does it but it's like he visualizes the number floating  around him and the answers just appear. Emmett…
