Gavin keeps losing weight

I've not talked about this in a while but as it's become a problem once again, it's time. Gavin is losing weight after maintaining for a most of the year. He's not losing crazy amounts of weight but he's lost all he's gained. We have an upcoming GI appointment and we're going to discuss the issues with his current labs (Bilirubin) and what, if anything we need to do. This will be done remotely since the labs were already done and it will be safer for Gavin. For his entire life, gaining weight has always been a problem. For much of this year, he was maintaining at 140 lbs and today he's down to 130 lbs. This wasn't overnight but it's where we are today. We've been tracking this forever…

I’ve been thinking about my weightloss journey and I have a concern

I'm exhausted and will fix any typos in the morning. I just wanted to get this out there for now. One of the things I've been working towards but struggling with is weightloss. A huge problem I had was in regards to the Paxil. Over the last 6 years, I put on about 80 lbs as a result of the drug and I hate it. I've lost about 15 lbs since January (when I was completely off Paxil) and it feels pretty good. One of the things I'm worried about and perhaps it's vanity, but I want to avoid loose skin. Being healthy is more important but I know a lot of people struggle with that after significant weightloss, especially on an emotional level. While the fear of loose skin…

I’m making progress

Today is my second full day with the Fitbit Ionic. I'm really pumped to be using this to help me with my weight-loss journey. I'm very motivated to make the changes in my life that I need to, in order to improve my health, both mentally and physically. I'm setting reasonable goals and achieving them. Once I feel I've mastered a certain goal, I'll set a new one for myself. The Fitbit app helps me set, monitor and achieve my goals. Check out the screenshot from the Fitbit app, detailing my efforts for today. I still have a long way to go but every step forward gets me one step closer to my goal. If you have a Fitbit account and want to friend me, that'd be awesome. We can…

I’m so proud of myself

I spent the day yesterday, focusing on making better choices for myself and I did really well. I did two 30 minute sessions on the treadmill, had a 1,000 calorie deficit, hit over 12,000 steps for the first time in awhile and even did ten flights of stairs.  I feel really good and I plan on replicating this today.  This is just one of many days worth of hard work I have a head of me but it's a really good start. I'm super proud of myself and feeling very motivated to see my weight next week. :)

Fit4autism: I begin my weight-loss journey

Halfway through the day, I'm doing pretty awesome. I've already reached some of my healthier living goals for today.  I've already exceeded my minimum goal of 60 minutes of activity and taken in 44oz of my 64oz of daily water. I've almost reached my bare minimum step goal of 6,000 steps for the day. Hitting 10,000 shouldn't be a problem.  A few minutes ago, I finished up my first of two, thirty minute sessions on the treadmill. The second one will probably occur after dinner.   Food is sorta scarce right now cause I don't get paid until tomorrow, at which point I'll hit the grocery store and pick up the list of groceries Alexa has kindly helped me put together.  You can find my midday stats below.
