Why I purposely try to trick my son with #Autism

Gavin’s birthday festivities will have to be delayed

It's one of those things that I can't control and so there's no use stressing out about it. We can still make this a special day for him and have the actual party in a few days.

If your child only wants to wear that one shirt or those same pants every day… it’s not about being stubborn. It’s about sensory safety. As a dad, I love seeing this. This girl was clearly overwhelmed, exhausted, frustrated, hangry, or all of the above. Big other steps in and with classic big brother humor and instantly changed the course of her day. This was so amazing to watch and I dare you to watch this and not smile. 😊❤️🫶 Sometimes we feel powerless to fix the world.
