I’m so proud of Gavin.  He’s come such a long way and there’s really no way to put into words, just how much better he’s doing.

The people in his life, including all his doctors and mental health professionals are blown away by the changes we’ve witnessed over the last year and a half.

He still has the same challenges as before but every single ounce of aggression, anger and frustration is simply gone.

I’m not gonna lie, he still drives me crazy sometimes but I’ll take it.

He may never live alone but he’s becoming more and more independent as time goes on.  He’s doing things I hadn’t thought possible until recently and most importantly, he happy.

Gavin literally has the patience of a saint and I’m in awe of how he handles situations that are stressful.  He’s actually a good role model for his brother and it truly feels amazing to be able to say that.

Some of you may not know this but Gavin is my adopted son.  I’ve raised him since he was 15 months or so and I take my commitment very seriously and I will never give up on him.

When I look at Gavin, I honestly forget that I’ve adopted him be a use I just see him like I see Elliott and Emmett.

Family is thicker than blood…. ☺
