Last night while we were at the tail end of our bedtime routine, something happened that I hadn’t expected.
The final thing we do before Emmett goes to bed at night, is swing in his hammock. Last night, while he was swinging, the unthinkable happened.
I was pushing him and as he was in mid-swing, the hammock ripped out of the header in the archway and Emmett went flying.
Thankfully, the way I was pushing him, led to me catching the hammock and minimizing his impact into the floor and limiting the distance he flew.
He didn’t get hurt and that’s a very positive thing. Unfortunately, I’m not sure where, of at all, I can reinstall it.
At the end of the day though, he’s safe and unhurt. That’s what matters the most.
