The boys and I have big plans for their day off today

The boys don’t have school today (teacher conferences) and I have a few ideas of how we can spend the time before they go and visit their Mom.

It’s supposed to be really windy today but otherwise pretty decent.

The boys and I want to go to the park for a hike.  We think it’s going to be extra interesting because it’s going to be crazy windy. ☺

We sorta have a battle going on in our house over who can get the most steps in a day.

We all have activity trackers and are all shooting for first place.  Gavin has the original Basis health tracker,  courtesy or Basis (thank you for that once again). Basis sent that to me a couple of years ago and that’s how I can easily keep tabs on Gavin’s heart rate.

Elliott and Emmett are each using a FitBit Charge. Those were given to me by Verizon Wireless, during a special PR thing I was invited to a couple weeks ago.

I’m using a Basis Peak courtesy of my banked reward zone points and a birthday Best Buy gift card.

Elliott totally destroyed us today with something like 14,000 steps but it’s a new day and the slate is wiped clean..

It’s just for fun and it’s keeping them constructively active, if that makes sense.

It’s got the boys wanting to walk and it gives me the opportunity to get back out there, even with the kids home.  It’s a win win… ☺
