We had some important discussions in therapy tonight

It’s been a thoroughly exhausting day.  You can read back to learn about everything that happened prior to Dr. Pattie’s tonight.

One of the main topics of therapy tonight was a potential change to the boys twice a month overnight visits with their Mom.

It’s not really a significant change but it doesn’t take a significant change to throw the boys off.

There’s significant resistance from the kids, so Dr. Pattie and I needed to discuss this with the boys and make a decision.  We discussed it with Elliott in particular and I need to call can talk to the boy’s Mom tomorrow and let her know what I decided.

I’ll talk about it after that but again, it’s not a huge deal.

The other topic was the issue I had with Emmett at the grocery store a few days ago (See here).

We talked with Emmett and discussed ways to make him feel more comfortable with any real time changes to the plans for what we get when we go into the grocery..

I’m not sure we made any progress in this area but there are relatively easy workarounds.  I can tell him that we’re going for at least xxxx items. It’s a little more open-ended. Emmett has never liked open-ended anything, so who knows.

This was all interrupted by Gavin having some health issues…  I’ll explain that later but this issue is ongoing and it’s already late.

It’s not life threatening and he’s going to be fine but he’s absolutely miserable and in pain.
