I fricking HATE time change and what it does to my kids with #Autism

Twice a year I climb up on my soap box and rant to the world about how much I hate time change. Do you know of why I hate time change so much?

"So here I sit, waiting for the boys to be released from their scholastic keepers and waiting to find out news that's going to make my day or ruin my weekend. I'm hoping for the former. ☺"

Today is the day that RFK Junior and Donald Trump are supposed to announce the cause of autism. And from what we can glean at this point, it’s gonna be blamed on Tylenol during pregnancy in a couple of things. I know a lot of you have a lot of feelings about what they’re doing and I just want to remind you that it’s gonna be OK. I’m frustrated and angry and everything else myself but we got to stick together. Push back when we need to push back and we’ll figure everything out. You guys are amazing. Your kids are lucky to have you and we’ll talk soon. It’s very clear that many people feel unseen, dismissed, or ignored in the #autism community. I think we need to have some very honest discussions about how we can address this because we need to make changes. Everyone should feel seen, heard, supported, valued, and included. You are not a failure. Raising a child with autism, ADHD, or any disability comes with challenges, but being a good parent isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up, loving unconditionally, and doing your best. Mistakes don’t define you, and neither do the things beyond your control. Your kids know they’re loved, and that’s what matters most. You’re doing an amazing job, even on the hard days. Remember that. 💙
