Due to a change in federal regulations of the medication Clozapine, that went into effect 2 days prior to Gavin’s refill, there was a delay in getting his script refilled.

The last time something like this happened, it was very, very bad.

Clozapine is the most tightly controlled medication in the US and it’s banned in many other countries..

Anyway, Gavin’s body couldn’t handle anymore mixups or snafus that caused him to miss a scheduled dose.  This latest hiccups had me very concerned.

Thankfully, Gavin’s doctor and the pharmacy were able to resolve the issue that caused insurance to refuse coverage, as a result of the regulatory changes.

I can pick up his meds today and the timing couldn’t have been any better.

Crisis avoided…  ☺
