It’s been a difficult day for a number of reasons but it hasn’t been a total loss.
Emmett is very focused on vacuuming the first floor, which is a bit strange because normally he runs away from the sound.
One of Elliott’s current obsessions this week has been batteries.
He’s been going around the house collecting batteries and hoarding them in a box.
Tonight, he’s going around finding everything that takes batteries and replacing them with something from his stock.
Elliott sorta bounces between obsessions throughout the day. I use the word obsession because that’s what it is. He becomes so focused on something that it completely consumes him and impacts his daily life.
At this point in time, he’s occupied with something good relatively constructive, so I’m gonna roll with it for now.
Gavin and I are tackling several baskets of unfolded laundry.
I already told the boys it would be an early night because it’s been a really long weekend and frankly, I’m exhausted from chasing after them all day and or answering Elliott incessant and repetitive questions.
Right now everyone’s in a pretty good mood, I’m hoping to end today on a positive note. ☺
