Mr. Elliott will be turning 10 years old in the wee hours of Friday morning.  Since he’ll be with his Mom on Friday night, Elliott asked that we celebrate his birthday today instead of Saturday.

I’m keeping things relatively simple because he has school in the morning.

When I pick Elliott and Emmett up from school, I’m dropping Emmett and Gavin off at my parents house and taking Elliott to pick out his birthday present.  I figured it will be easier if it’s just he and I.  Plus, it’ll be nice to spend some time with him on my own.

After that, we’re going to pick out a cake and dinner,  before returning to pick up his brothers and head home.

Maybe that sounds a little weird that I’m involving him in everything like that but I have a reason for it.

Elliott is desperately trying to gain some control over his life and while there are many areas in which he has no control, I thought it might be nice for him to have some over his birthday..

He will pick out his present and choose his own cake.  I think he’ll like that.

Anyway, that’s the plan for right now.  We will be having something with my family at a later date.  It will combine both Elliott and Gavin’s birthdays together…  For now, I just want to have a nice quiet birthday with Elliott, that he truly enjoys…. ☺ 💙
