It seems as if there’s no end to the misfortune that hits my family at times.  There’s no question it’s been a rough year for the boys and I. 

Just because this is how life sometimes chooses to pass out shit to people, we’ve been hit once again.  This time it’s Emmett. 

Tonight at bedtime, he started complaining about the back of his legs.  When I looked, this is what I found. 

I’m not exactly sure what this is but it’s certainly not a good thing. 

I spoke with my parents tonight because they are always my goto for things like this and we’re thinking it might be impetigo,  in which case, it’s highly contagious. 

Of course Emmett’s miserable and will have to stay home from school. 

He has to get to the doctors at some point tomorrow and get this addressed. Last thing in the world we want to do is pass this along to anyone else. 

If it is indeed impetigo, he’ll need antibiotics but it should clear up just fine. 

It’s nothing serious, it just complicates things a bit.
