I haven’t seen a Japanese beetle in forever (photography)

On our nature trip yesterday, I found this little invasive species. I used to catch Japanese beetles all the time when I was a kid. Until today, Elliott had never seen one before, which kinda blew my mind because they were so common when I was his age.

I remember those smelly Japanese beetle traps people used to leave in their yards. Good times.. Anyway, I caught this with my Samsung Galaxy S8+. 

I really, really wish I had more time to capture images of the things I come across.
