Last minute preparations for our trip

Last minute preparations for our trip

Lizze and I spent a large part of Wednesday, running errands and collecting some of the things we need in order to leave Friday morning. One of the things we made sure to do was get all the boys new headphones. This one act will provide an added layer of sanity for the fifteen hour drive. 😉

Today is our last day to get ready before we leave and it’s going to be a busy one.

Lizze has an appointment first thing in the morning. After that, we’re going to be heading to pick up a few things for Maggie, before taking her to the kennel.

The boys said goodbye to her prior to leaving for school. We figured it would be easier on Maggie to streamline this process as much as possible. She’s already going to think we abandoned her and that feels seriously shitty. If the boys were there, it would be harder on everyone.

Once we’ve gotten Maggie settled in, we have a it more shopping to do before we pick the boys up from school. We’ll have a bit more after we pick them up as well.

Right before dinner, I have to go pick up the rental van and get it packed so we’re ready to leave in the morning.

The final thing we will be doing is getting my Mom acclimated to the alarm system. Our Vivint Smart Home system will make that process straight forward and easy. She will be able to control and monitor the entire house from her phone, as will I. One of the cool things about our Vivint system is how easy it is to use.

Leaving for as long as we are, makes me nervous about house and evenrything in it, especially the pets.

We trust Vivint Home to look after things in our absense. ☺
