No Harm No Foul

I totally dropped the ball last night and didn’t realize it until this morning. As a result, it’s been pretty chaotic.

I went to bed fairly early last night because I was exhausted. As I was laying in bed, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was forgetting something, but couldn’t figure out what that something was.

As I was getting everyone moving this morning, I remembered what I was supposed to do.

I forgot to make fresh pepperoni rolls for the boys school lunch and I also forgot to do Elliott’s laundry. I can’t believe I forgot to get these things done before I went to bed. I suppose that’s what exhaustion can lead to.

Thankfully, I had time to bake the pepperoni rolls and now I’m just waiting for them to cool off. Unfortunately, there’s no time to finish Elliott’s laundry but he still has clean clothes for today. I’m going to file this little debacle under the no harm no foul column.

Hey Rob, I seem to recall reading something a while back that Elliott was wanting more responsibility now that he is a teenager. Perhaps he could be responsible for his laundry (with your assistance) and also help you make the pepperoni rolls for lunches. Maybe make up a big batch and freeze them so you’re covered for a week or two. Maybe having some more responsibility will make him feel less helpless and upset with everything that’s going on that is out of his control. This would give him something he could control. Just a thought.
