I have a tough decision to make

The boys are not going to make it much longer in this heat. Poor Elliott is covered in heat rash, and he’s not been outside.

Emmett is so far over the edge at this point, I can’t even see the line anymore. It’s been one meltdown after another. Interesting fact, Emmett doesn’t like the noise the fans make. By not like, I of course mean, the sound completely freaks him out, and while he likes the breeze, he can’t be in the same room with the fan.

At bedtime, the boys needed to have a fan in the room, but it kept making Emmett freak out. It took hours to get him to finally go to sleep.

This is news to me, because we’ve never really had to use any fans in the house, since he was old enough to remember. I guess we learn something new everyday. I’m not sure how to handle this one because it’s a damned if I do, damned if I don’t, kinda thing.

Mr. Gavin only has one outlet in his room, and he uses it for charging his tablet. I explained to him that we would have to unplug his tablet tonight, so I can plug in a small fan in.

You should have seen the look on his face. If looks could kill, I’d be writing this from the beyond.

There was no way in hell he was going to not plug his tablet in, and so he refused the fan.

Lizze and I gave up the comfort of our bed again tonight, to help insure the kids are as comfortable as possible. I miss my bed, but it’s worth

Anyway, the A/C needs to be a priority, but so does the need to eat. I can’t earn an income without the Internet.

I’m not sure how to best handle this.

There’s simply no way to make everything happen. Tough choices need to be made, and no matter what I decide, we’re going lose out on the other side of things.

Question- have you looked into the cost of getting rid of the internet and getting an unlimited data plan for your phone instead? Also, is the paycheck from the writing job you mentioned a couple of months ago? Is there any way to have them do a direct deposit or a wire instead?

I understand but I feel like the obvious question is: why not switch providers?

Because it’s too good of a deal, and works everywhere else. It only impacts us when the house internet is out, which is rare

I can’t get away with that because too much of our house requires internet. In theory we could, but Tmobile is absolutely terrible in the 10 square block radius where I live. I actually need an internet connect to use the special mini cell tower they gave me, so my phone would work at home.
