I’m off to a good start

The boys will be home soon, and I’m off to a good start on my goals for the day.  I just got off the treadmill and feel amazing.

Now I’m getting some writing done and planning the rest of my day.

I feel energized from working out and my demeanor is pretty damn positive.. ☺

Full time, work from home single Dad to my 3 amazing boys. Oh...and creator fo this blog. :-)

Good job on making the treadmill a habit! How is the diet going? How much weight have you lost?

Rob Gorski

Thanks Kim.. I’m still at about 11 lbs. Not losing but not gaining. At least there’s that. I’m really focusing on working out and making smart lifestyle changes. I’m also going to focus more closely on my sugar intake… ☺

Changing your diet and eating habits as an adult isn’t easy. I have managed to mostly cut out snacking which has made a big difference for me. I still have my days where I eat more than I probably should, but those days are definitely the exception rather than the rule. Do yourself a favor and drink a ton of water and pile vegetables on your plate. Based on your food log you don’t eat much in the way of vegetables and have very little fruit in your diet. You can eat almost unlimited vegetables and still stay at a decent calorie count. Fruit isn’t quite as good because of the sugars and higher calories, but it’s no doubt better than eating cake or cookies. Also, if you want ice cream, I like the Halo Top brand. It has anywhere between 240 and 360 calories per pint.

Yes it is.. One thing I struggle with is drinking water. I have my water bottle with me all the time but just forget. That’s probably contributing to the plateau..

The last two days I’ve done much better and taken in at least 70 Oz. Not enough but better than where I was..
