I can’t change what I can’t control

I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes. I’m feeling much better, and Lizze did a great job of taking care of her sick husband. ☺

I’m pretty sure it was something I ate last night. Actually, I cooked myself a chicken breast in the air fryer, and perhaps that was the issue? Either way, I’m back up and running, well, moving around without feeling the need to yack. lol

I did wake up to a scary realization that I’ve lost my wallet. That almost never happens, at least not in a really long time. It’s really weird the way stuff goes missing in our house sometimes. I’m 99.9% sure it’s in the house.

Lizze and I have always joked between ourselves, that we have a mischievous ghost in our house. We’ve even named him Jack.

Things will disappear and we’ll tear the house apart looking for them, only to find nothing. When we wake up in the morning however, what we were looking for will now be sitting in the middle of the living room floor. I can’t tell you how many times these things have happened.

I prefer to think that Jack is behind it because there’s no other explanation than I’m going crazy..lol

We’re gonna keep looking, but my wallet will probably show up on my nightstand, desk, dining room table, or even the middle of the floor. I know it’s not the kids because this was going on before they entered the picture.

I’m hoping that it will show up soon because I’m cut off from everything and we desperately need to go grocery shopping.

I’ll probably continue looking tonight and if it’s still missing, I’ll head to the bank and replace my debit card. I’ll have to replace my driver’s license and anything else that needs to be replaced. I did have a lot of useless junk in there as well.

Shit, I’ll need to replace all of our insurance cards and that can take awhile to get those in the mail.

I’m quietly whispering to myself, I can’t change what I can’t control.
