Today’s Victory: How we recovered from an absolutely disastrous day

I was so frustrated by that point in time that I just wanted to hide from the rest of the day.

Thankfully, the rest of the day slowly got better. The highlight for me was convincing everyone, including Lizze, to join me for a walk at the park. Lizze has to be careful until we know what’s up with her knee. Her knee actually locks up and it’s very painful.

I was just being weird.. 😆

Having fun as a family

We had a short walk as a family, and it was really nice. The kids had fun, Lizze seemed to do well, but Gavin got hurt doing something he shouldn’t have been doing. He’ll live, but his leg is going to be sore for a few days.

When we got home, we were going to have a bonfire. It was ultimately rained out, but we’re going to try again tomorrow.

I’m so completely exhausted right now and I just want to go to sleep. I didn’t want to end the day without celebrating something positive. I’m very much focused on the family time we had at the park together. It was so nice to do something as a family. I totally view this as a victory because everyone had fun and we spent time as a family. I love going on walks or hikes with my family. I’m definitely adding this to the win column.

I know how it feels to have to reschedule appts. I’ve had to reschedule appts in town, because I was too exhausted to drive my car a couple miles. Yep. Very embarrassing but you know.
